Wild boar, roe deer, and pheasants, all to be found inside the chateau.

The Pont de la Tour (tower bridge) crosses the isle river. This bridge is over 3 cities and 2 regions (Aquitaine and Limousin). It was built in the 14th century to connect the Limousin with the Périgord.

Le Chalard, only a short walk from Viale. The charming medieval village offers a magnificent 11th-century Romanesque church. This building, fortified during the Hundred Years war, boasts beautiful carved capitals as well as the tomb of Saint-Geoffroy, founder of this church. At the foot of the chevet of the church, the Moines cemetery is a medieval cemetery which boasts forty tombs dating from the 12th century.
